Born on the island of Tenerife (Spain), Antonio Castrillo Cabrera -globally known artistically as Castion– began his strong music career at the young age of 14 years. Over time, he has created his own following and unique style combining house, cool techno, future house… in short, crispy and freshest clubbing sounds with stunning skills as a producer.
Castion stacks up over 80 original tracks, remixes and edits having been signed and solidly released on such consolidated labels as Insomniac, Spinnin’, Solotoko or 303Lovers.
No less illuminating to the effort of a well done activity in the music industry, he has recently been included -on a couple of occasions- in the ‘Best Producers Worldwide’ list via Top 101 Producers by 1001tracklist.
His talent as a DJ has also propelled him to live great experiences. Key cities like Ibiza, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Rome or Luxembourg, just to name a few, have already enjoyed Castion performances. At the same time, the artist has shared DJ booths with international top names such as Tchami, Danny Avila, W&W, NERVO, R3hab, Acraze, Medvza, Nicky Romero, Benny Benassi, Sam Feldt, and many others.
One of the most noteworthy events in his career so far was when Ultra Music Music Festival South Africa used “Euphoria” for the official video recap. This track got a ‘gold record’ recognition on YouTube. A true turning point. Another pivotal moment was when “PYRO” -released via Fedde Le Grand’s imprint- went viral via TikTok and subsequently on Spotify, iTunes, and other digital platforms. We are counting at least 2 Official Gold Records and 1 Platinum Record with this release.
Having said all this, it is not at all surprising that his releases have been supported by great artists from all over the planet. Don Diablo, CID, Hugel, Tiesto, Martin Garrix, Benny Benassi, David Guetta, Afrojack, Diplo, Solardo, Hardwell, Mike Williams, Danny Avila, Sam Feldt, Matroda, Timmy Trumpet… and again, just to name a few.
Castion, a serious advice about how to best develop clubbing sounds without avoiding the importance of musicality.
